On Saturday Nov 14th, 2009 Abstract Earth Project and Desiderata Productions present FLUX, a celebration of sound, art, and culture at Rotture and Branx (320 SE 2nd Ave in Portland). Doors open for art browsers and early comers at 8 pm with music starting at 9. The bill is flush with killer acts like the San Francisco-based duo Lazer Sword, ready to drop their signature glitchy mashups and ridiculous bass. Eliot Lipp and Leo123 bring their old school analog synth style as the electronic duo Dark Party. Montreal’s psychedelic-robo-crunk remix masters Megasoid will be making their second ever Portland appearance. Also making a much needed return is live electronic band Signal Path, and NY based beat smiths Mux Mool and Machine Drum. A healthy assortment of local talent rounds out the bill with the visual art and sound of the drum heavy duo Deelay Ceelay, and a handful of Portland’s best up and coming electronic producers. The night will also showcase work by regional artists who pull their influence from music culture and will be curated by PDX artist Rob Fayze Pellicer.
