Here’s the deal… LAZER SWORD kills it. They rocked last Novembers FLUX. party so hard that we had to have neck braces on stand by. Were bringing in more sound to make sure that the kings of blap can deliver proper for you. Also very excited for TOKIMONSTA!! She is the queenpin of Flying Lotus’s Brainfeeder crew and a recent participant in the exclusive Red Bull music Academy. Her music is hype so check her out on the interwebs.

known for his intuitive ability to carve beats out of the bits, Kraddy has made a name for himself internationally as a producer and a DJ. His releases on Muti Music, Bless Records, Blunted Funk, Digital Distortions and his own label, Refiner Records have set him apart as a producer with a truly extra-ordinary sound.

Kraddy’s unique tweak has taken him from his home in San Francisco to LA, NY, Vancouver, Dublin, Prague, Stockholm, Bristol and even earned him the headlining slot at Trigger in Birmingham UK. He has also been featured on NuBreaks.com, BreakinAsia.com, and Cnet.com as well as being reviewed by XLR8R, URB, BPM, Undercover Magazine,Mofo and Rinse.

Kraddy’s music implicates cybernetic breaks with asymmetrical dub delays and hip hop grooves with dark ethereal melodies. At times his music is technical and frenetic and calls to mind images of genetically mutated earthworms, poping and locking deep underground to sub atomic frequencies, causing minute shifts in the structure and alignment of the tectonic plates, that over millennia will alter the magnetic core of the planet and thus change its frequency field steering its evolution towards greater harmony and a more peaceful form.

“I know it’s electronic music,” Brian Lindgren says, “but sometimes I feel like an old-timey traveling musician with an M-Audio Trigger Finger instead of a guitar.” As Mux Mool, Lindgren has been criss-crossing the country by himself for years, collecting records, loops, and samples, and rocking parties in towns both large and boondock-small. Lindgren is a self-confessed nerd to the bone, an incurable doodler, a Star Trek: The Next Generation fan; he lives on energy drinks and barely sleeps, spending his days working on music and his nights absorbing Internet memes by the hard-drive load. Mux Mool’s homespun electro hip-hop is the product of an introverted mind, an extroverted imagination, and a bottomless cultural appetite.

Chip Chop is a live production and percussion duo featuring Portland based producer Graintable and Lake Tahoe based producer/drummer AD/AM. The two grind filthy synth noises, sub shaking basses, and back breaking drum patterns to create a glitched out bass heavy massacre that ignites dancefloors and melts faces! Creating waves in the west coast Chip Chop has already shared the stage with Bassnectar, Ooah, Free The Robots, Gift Of Gab, KJ Sawka, Eoto, and more. The duo released their first track on RUNRIOT’s MotionSickness compilation in ‘09 and will see their first EP Launch Blank out in early 2010.

San Francisco’s Sexytime is comprised of Sleepyhead (LowPro Lounge) and Mimosa (Muti Music), this duo’s sleek, dubbed out crunkstep will get that fine ass shakin’, and rattle your man’s grill right out his mouth.

Sleepyhead has been releasing collaborative material with KnowOne (as KnowSleep), as well as with Mimosa as Sexytime. His most recent available release is the self-titled album from KnowSleep, available on Addictech.

Mimosa’s debut EP, Hostilis, is out now on Addictech, and features appearances from Colorado MC Souleye and Canadian vocalist Sasha Rose.

The dirtiest of sound design and synthesis work, coupled with ambiguous appregio melodies and funky rhythms puts these tunes in the ranks with the next-generation post-Dubstep ballads. PANTyRAiD is the product of two music producers that met on the West Coast of
the United States and share the same appreciation for well produced electronic
dance music. Martin Folb (aka MartyParty) and Josh Mayer (aka Ooah) have always
loved the art of songwriting instead of the typical club track production.

They set off to write melodic, musical journeys within the electronic genre.
Each song has its own character, its own intention, and often crosses over many
genres of electronic and traditional music. One thing is consistent in all
PANTyRAiD production, attention to detail, not found in typical electronic
production. Constant variation in the beat, and an almost overwhelming palette
of instrumentation and audio tricks and techniques.

The combination of MartyParty and Ooah has started a movement back towards the
power of the melody and instrumental composition. Together they have invented a
formula for producing intense club songs that pull together gorgeous and modern
electronic sounds with hard hitting beats, brining the best of hip-hop, dubstep
and other forms of experimental electronic music.

The music is a new flavor of urban beat, a fresh new sexy sound that draws those
that love to dance.

We welcome back one of our favorite producer’s Brendan Angelides performing his WELDER material, and are very excited to have the musical stylings of TYCHO in Portland for his first appearance performing a LIVE A/V SET.

TYCHO Live A/V Set (Ghostly International SF)

Tycho is the music project of San Francisco based artist and producer Scott Hansen. As Tycho, Hansen blends swirling melodies into vaguely triumphant arcs that crisscross between stuttering beats and vocal samples, creating rolling sonic landscapes that extend off into the horizon. Known in the design world as ISO50, Hansen’s bucolic, sun-drenched design style serves as a backdrop for the music which so closely echoes his visual sentiments.

Tycho currently records for the Ghostly International label and has releases on the Merck and Gammaphone labels.

WELDER (Ancestor Media, Surefire SF)

Welder, aka Brendan Angelides and “Eskmo”, is a San Francisco based musician and live performer. His works have been featured in URB, DJ Mag, Knowledge Mag and on such shows as BBC Radio1, Rinse FM and Breaks FM. Welders music envelopes you in easy bopping beats, that take you on a ride in the country with the convertible top down and your spirits up. The production is tight, the percussion is crisp, and the broken melodic patterns get stuck in your memory.

THE Mother Fucking GASLAMP KILLER (Low End Theory LA)

The self-professed Animal-style DJ, Gaslamp Killer — a reference to his hometown of San Diego and its beach-brah’s Gaslamp bar district — has been holding it down at the front counter of LA’s Turntable Lab. His real home, however, is behind the turntables, where his wild style takes DJing into the realm of freak fest psychedelia. A resident of the beat banger event The Low End Theory, GLK has solidified himself as having some of the deepest crates on the West Coast.

EPROM (Surefire SF)

EPROM is known for his diverse, funky and energetic sets, which cross the lines between live remixing and manipulation of hiphop and dubstep with his own obscenely bass-heavy neurocrunk transmissions. EPROM has played alongside artists like Flying Lotus, The Glitch Mob, Skream, Lazer Sword, Kode9, Mochipet, Rustie, and many others. EPROM has worked with internationally renowned MCs and has slated multiple vinyl releases in the coming year. DJ supporters include Starkey, Jakes, Bassnectar, The Glitch Mob, Rustie, Megasoid, Zombie Disco Squad, Riton, Basement Jaxx, and BBC Radio One’s Mary Anne Hobbs.
